Signature Black is the sleekest of the three Signatures, and the one with the most interesting middle.

Bergamot and pepper open it clean and dry, a brief formal handshake. Then iris arrives with caramel beside it, an odd and very good pairing: the iris cool, powdery and slightly metallic, the caramel warm and sweet, each keeping the other in line. Leather and vetiver anchor the base, adding a smoky, green-earthy finish that stops the sweetness from spreading.
