Indian saffron opens, dry and golden and instantly recognisable. Rosemary is the surprise: herbal, almost cool, it keeps the middle from going syrupy and gives the composition an unusual green spine. Then agarwood takes over, smoky and resinous and deep, for a drydown planted squarely in the spicy-woody Arabian tradition.
