Dare is a study in white flowers. Laverne publishes only its opening, and that opening is the point: lily of the valley, jasmine and a broader white floral accord, luminous and green-edged rather than sweet.

It is the work of perfumer Florian Gallo, and it wears with the clarity you would expect from that. The effect is soap-clean in the best sense, the smell of fresh linen and cut stems, worn close and confidently.

The house has not published a full note pyramid for the dry-down, so we will not invent one; come try it on skin and judge the trail yourself. Marketed unisex as an eau de parfum in 100mL, it suits anyone who likes their florals bright and unfussy, day or evening.
